January 30th 2007: Player news

Byron Bubb's brief spell at Bromley came to an end last Friday when he left to join Leyton. The former Millwall midfielder had failed to break into the first team at Hayes Lane having signed from AFC Wimbledon in December.

Meanwhile Matt Lovell has joined the Club after he was released by Nationwide South side, Thurrock prior to Bromley's recent visit to Horsham. Matt is an attack-minded defender who played for Arsenal youth in his early teens before moving on Gravesend & Northfleet. He has also turned out for Fisher Athletic and Cray Wanderers.

Another new signing is Garath McCleary, a livewire striker who began the season with Slough Town. Garath is an exciting prospect who has attracted the attention of several professional clubs but unfortunately he has missed most of the current campaign after suffering a broken leg at the beginning of the season. He is now nearing a return to full fitness and should be available for selection shortly.

January 14th 2007: New arrivals

Following the sudden departure of Steve Watts to Eastleigh last week and the suspensions recently handed out to Tutu Henriques and Donal O'Sullivan the management team moved quickly to strengthen the squad ahead of the visit from Chelmsford City.

Tobi Jinadu was signed from Nationwide South side, Thurrock having also played for Hayes this season. Tobi slotted in well at the back to make an impressive debut in the narrow victory of the league leaders at Hayes Lane. The big, powerful central defender who is comfortable on the ball and can also play in midfield numbers Sutton United, Welling United and Aldershot Town amongst his former clubs.

Also signing in time to make a significant impact on Saturday was Kenny Kennedy, a young striker with pace and an eye for goal. Kenny joined from Aveley of Ryman Division One North after spells at Harrow Borough and Thurrock.

January 10th 2007: Bromley release Watts

A little over a month after his arrival at Hayes Lane, Steve Watts has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent. The much-travelled atriker marked his debut with a penalty against Walton & Hersham but failed to score in the following five games.
